C# Engineer

This innovative software organization has been developing specialized solutions for groundwater and ecological data management for many years. What once started as a niche solution for water companies and governmental institutions has grown into a mature software platform used throughout the Netherlands – and increasingly on an international level.

From their office, a compact and international team works on the future of data-driven water management. The organization is characterized by a high level of freedom, responsibility, and a strong digital mindset. People work hard, but always within an informal and approachable atmosphere. There are no rigid hierarchies or strict dress codes — just short communication lines, substantive discussions, and a shared focus on building smart software together.

They are on the verge of an important technological step: consolidating multiple existing applications into one modern .NET platform. They operate with an AI-first vision — innovation truly takes center stage here.

You will join a compact development team of approximately six colleagues with different areas of expertise. Together, you will build a new future-proof platform in C# and .NET.

The tech stack includes WPF (desktop) and Blazor (web). The organization develops according to Clean Architecture principles and applies a clear layered application structure. You actively contribute to decisions regarding structure, architecture, and technical direction.

Each day starts with a stand-up, and ongoing projects are discussed weekly via Teams. You will work both independently and collaboratively on new functionalities, optimizations, and further development of the platform.

The software is used by ecologists and water experts who work with large volumes of data related to groundwater quality, groundwater quantity, and geological analysis. You ensure that this data is presented in a clear, analyzable, and visually strong way.

In addition, you work according to the AI-first principle: AI tools are actively integrated into the development workflow (including within Visual Studio). Manual coding where necessary, smart automation wherever possible.

There is significant room for initiative and technical input. They are looking for developers who not only want to build, but also want to think strategically about the future of the platform.

• Extensive experience with C# and .NET
• Experience with WPF and/or Blazor is a strong plus
• Affinity with Clean Architecture and layered development
• Open to and comfortable working with AI within your development process
• Able to work both independently and as part of a team
• Strong analytical skills and proactive in proposing technical solutions
• Dutch is not required (English is sufficient)
