For a fast-growing organization in the e-commerce sector, we are currently looking for a Senior/ Lead PHP developer. It is an international company with shops running in countries including; the Netherlands, France, Spain, Germany and Denmark. They sell various goods, especially in the construction sector, and deliver directly from stock to consumers and business customers. Their ambition is to establish one strong brand across Europe. So plenty to do! It is a very informal company with an international working environment where everyone knows each other and is involved in various developments. There are short lines of communication and it is a flat organization without (management) layers. A total of almost 250 colleagues are now employed across the various departments.
Functie
You will join their IT department consisting of a Lead developer (focussing on e-commerce), 3 back-, 3 Front-end developers, and the Development manager. Within the IT department, they work on both e-commerce and business operations solutions. These are separate teams so you can gain domain knowledge. They are currently looking for a developer who will focus on business operations, such as back-office systems that are customized to make the company run as smoothly as possible. In your role, you will take the Lead when it comes to the further development of the software. You interact with the Product owner and other stakeholders and think about the architecture and quality of the software. One day you work on improving the UX for their customer service, and the next day you think about future-proofing the warehouse systems.
Eisen
• You have experience as a Lead developer, or the ambition (and aptitude!) to grow in this area
• You have extensive experience in PHP and preferably Symfony
• Experience with Containerised development environments (Docker)
• Knowledge of Kubernetes is an advantage
• Experience in NextJS and front-end applications is an advantage
• Experience with TTD and code reviews
• Experience with Agile and Scrum development processes
