Senior Machine Learning Engineer | The Hague

The Role
What will you be doing?
As a Senior Machine Learning Engineer, you will work across the entire data lifecycle, combining Data Engineering, Machine Learning and MLOps.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Data integration and processing: Collecting, integrating and processing financial and blockchain-related data from various sources.
• Data pipeline development: Designing, building and maintaining reliable data pipelines and data processing workloads.
• Azure platform development: Developing and improving the organisation’s cloud-based data platform.
• Machine Learning: Developing, improving and deploying machine learning models into production environments.
• MLOps: Implementing and optimising processes for model deployment, monitoring and lifecycle management.
• Automation: Automating deployments, data workflows and machine learning processes.
• Performance and reliability: Monitoring and improving data quality, system performance and platform reliability.
• Technical collaboration: Working closely with Data Analysts, software engineers and other technical specialists.

  You will be involved in both developing new solutions and improving existing systems. This gives you the opportunity to influence technical decisions and contribute to the continued development of the organisation’s data infrastructure.

Technology Stack
You will work with technologies including:

• Cloud & Data Engineering: Microsoft Azure, Azure Data Factory, Azure Databricks and Azure Data Lake Storage.
• Programming & Data Processing: Python and SQL.
• Machine Learning & MLOps: Azure Machine Learning and MLflow.
• Development & Automation: CI/CD and Git.
• Experience with blockchain, cryptocurrency, fintech or financial datasets is an advantage, but not a requirement.

Requirements
What are we looking for?
We are looking for an experienced engineer who enjoys solving complex technical challenges and feels comfortable working independently in a fast-moving environment.

You should have:

• At least 3 years of relevant experience as a Data Engineer, MLOps Engineer, Machine Learning Engineer or in a similar position.
• Experience working with Microsoft Azure and cloud-based data platforms.
• Strong programming skills in Python and SQL.
• Experience developing data pipelines and working with ETL/ELT processes and data warehousing.
• Experience with CI/CD, automation and deployment processes.
• Experience with or a strong interest in Machine Learning and MLOps.
• A solid understanding of software engineering principles.
• An independent, proactive and entrepreneurial approach to your work.
• You enjoy taking ownership of technical challenges and collaborating with others to develop practical, reliable solutions.
